Saw this movie last night. Those who know me, understand that I don’t like going to the movies at night because I get sleepy. So, much to my chagrin, I found myself posted up at the theater here in Atlanta at 10:30 p.m. Hmmmm. . . .guess who slept just a little bit?
The movie was 2 hours long but action packed. It confused me a bit at first, causing me to lean over to S.O. after about 5 minutes and ask him Is this the movie? Hahahaha!!! I gotsta get out mo’ often.
Angelina Jolie plays Fox, a sexy assassin in the Fraternity – a group of weavers that keep the “balance” in the world by killing people whose names are revealed through a secret code in the weave of fabric. Where do they come up with these plots?
James McAvoy plays Wesley Gibson – the central character – who finds out while working his crap desk job job that he, too is an assassin by GENETICS. His father was an assassin of great ability because his heart beat at some obscene rate (700 beats/min???) that allowed him to see things in slow motion – or something like that. Wesley has the same ability. For the sake of those who plan to see this, I won’t reveal the twist.
Morgan Freeman plays the dark character, Sloan, who is basically on the take and using the assassins for his own financial gain. Morgan had a funny line that cracked up all the moviegoers – Go kill the motherf*cker.
The movie is replete with unbelievable elements - Can you curve your bullets like a fastball?? – but definitely worth your $9.25.
RECOMMENDED.

I want to see this. And yes, I am shocked that you went to a 10:30 p.m. movie.
